Aruna Shields in Private Moments
Mr Singh Mrs Mehta is a Hindi Film based on Indian couple based in Loondon. While the two men are comfortable with Hindi both the actresses tend to stumble. Especially Aruna, who muffs up her expression solely in an effort to get the nuances of the Hindi language right. Ditto for Lucy Hassan.
Bollywood in the past decades did seem to have been slowly shed its conservative approach but Aruna Shields nude pics seems to have broken all the barriers.
According to Aruna nudity is not the highlight of the movie. There is nude scenes in the movie but is shot from sideways, or pixeled out.
Society is not willing to take extra marital affairs, they take it as accidents which happends to others. You only get a jolt when it actually happens to you or to someone you know. It is a take on four dramatic characters. Mrs. Singh (Aruna Shields), an agony aunt columnist, is obviously agonized upon discovering her husband’s infidelity. Mr. Singh (Naved Aslam) and Mrs. Mehta (Lucy Hassan) are having an extra-marital affair, despite being ostensibly happy with their respective marriages. His wife however has full faith in Ashwin’s talent that one day he will be a very rich and famous painter. Drawn together by shame and anger, they find comfort in their growing friendship even as they resolve not to be like their unfaithful mates.
He loves his wife too much to confront her when he discovers she is having an affair. He knows if he confronts her, she will confess to the affair and he will not be able to live with it. Ashwin is full of complexities.
It is one of the few adult films bollywood has to offer. In one way the film is a type of wife swapping, eventhough unintentional. And the fact that it is dealt with a degree of understatement and maturity, with a great music score (Ustad Shujat Hussain Khan and Sharang Dev) to translate the emotional quotient on to the screen, makes it a decent watch. The film seems to be generating a lot of buzz only for the kissing and the nude scenes. Aruna Shields did a wonderfull job and the nude scence in a very comfortable manner. The movie is not meant to titillate anyone so there were no vulgar scenes. Every shot is done very aesthetically.
It’s a bold film, not just in terms of the sheer physicality of it but also because Pravesh has dared to raise some uncomfortable questions where (other) people tend to play safe.
